SH Book Committee

The SH Book Committee would like all residents to know that we are looking for photos and written history of our colony. We are especially looking for photos of Shelter Harbor to include the
following subjects:

• VJ Day
• Military photos
• Bundles for Britain at Sea Tower
• Our Beach during wartime
• White crosses on the pond for the military planes
• Any parade photos
• 4th of July celebrations at the corner of Handel and Verdi
• Conservation event photos, musical performances
• 2000 concert at Valhalla
• Millennium photos, fireworks over the pond, sailboat races, Shelter Harbor weddings.
• Any photos residents would like to share for the book.

A WORD ABOUT THIS WEBSITE

Our website is always a work in progress.
If you have any corrections, suggestions, comments, etc , please send them to me.

If you have news items of family, awards, adventures, whatever, that might be of interest to the community, send them along.

If you have photos of SH or of events such as The Ladies Luncheon, The Adult Cocktail Party, or Beach Party, send them too. Photos of 650 pixels minimum width are preferred.

Committee Chairs and Agents: If you send me copies of your activities and events, they will be posted. Perhaps we can cut the cost and time of flyer distribution and keep the community always up to date.

If you wish to access the secure Members Only section, please send me your choice of username and password (and try to remember them!) along with your name, SH address and phone number, email address and, most importantly, the account number on your Town of Westerly property tax bill. This is to make certain that I know you are who you say you are. This section will contain information that is pertinent to SHFD taxpayers only.
